Puzzles are introduced in early childhood and it’s something every child falls in love with. An important educational learning tool that exercises the young toddler minds playing a major role in their development. Let’s have a look at the following ways how they do this magic:

Problem Solving

While on a puzzle the kid is on a mission, a mission to solve this puzzle by thinking of the best possible way of doing so. Completion of a puzzle brings along a sense of achievement. This in later life can form basis for the child to solve any problem. So a puzzle helps the child develop its problem solving and reasoning skills.

Cognitive Skills

Puzzles make kids aware of their environment and in a fun way kick start their learning. They are based on alphabets, numbers, shapes and more. It helps them understand these better and increases their visual special awareness. They start identifying shapes, colours and more which also enhances their memory skill as they can recall them easily when exposed to them again.

Fine Motor Skills

Picking up the puzzle pieces, arranging, moving pieces till they fit in the right position and small movements involved in playing with puzzles help kids develop their fine motor skills.

Hand Eye Coordination

Making puzzles require a lot of hand eye manipulation. The eyes see the pieces while the brain reacts and makes the hand move to place the piece in its place.  Hence it helps in developing its hand eye coordination.
