Helen Keller (1880-1968) was the first deaf and blind person to achieve a Bachelor of Arts degree. She went on to become a successful author, lecturer and political activist. 'The Story of My Life' is the autobiographical account of her struggles with her condition. The book depicts how Keller overcame her disability with her exceptional courage and effort and learned to communicate. The book also presents her wonderful relationship with her teacher, Anne Sullivan.
